European Vacation: A Few Final Thoughts

A poster I encountered during our walking food tour of Paris. Our family was available to do this concert, and I tried to make a case to go, but was vetoed. Probably wise that we didn’t go: I got COVID the last time I went to a concert (Alanis Morrissette last September).

European Vacation Day 17: Put a Fork in Us, We’re Done!

The nonstop flight from Munich to Denver was so nice! I’m glad we could do that. We were home in less than 12 hours!

2 Aug 22: I didn’t take a lot of photos on this last day, which was little more than the journey from the Munich hotel to the Flughafen (Airport) for the flight home. We were struggling with the luggage, including that extra bag filled with clothing.

European Vacation Day 16: Only One Day in Munich! What Did We Do?

Because of course we needed a Hofbräuhaus selfie!

1 Aug 22: Greetings from Munich! This is the last full day of our trip and the fatigue has definitely caught up with us. We arrived in the city around 10:30am and the hotel surprised us by having our rooms ready. We did the two things I was interested in in Munich: the 1908 Rathaus-Glockenspiel performance and the Hofbräuhaus for lunch. I promised the boys “No more museums and no more tourist attractions” after yesterday’s Passion Play.

31 July 2022: I mentioned in my previous post that my friend Breea was helping our family keep our Oberammergau planning in line. Many years ago (not long after the 2010 Passion Play), when we were both stationed in Nebraska, we discovered we had a common goal: to take our families to the Passion Play in 2020.
