UK 2024: London Day 3 – Scenes Near Big Ben and Thames River Cruise

“Big Ben!” “Parliament!” selfie. Of course.

After the Churchill War Rooms, Dave and I grabbed a quick lunch and then headed to the nearby Westminster river pier to hop on a City Cruises narrated boat tour on the Thames. We could stop at some of the more popular photo locations on the way.

It took us to Greenwich and we learned quite a bit from the tour guide. It was a relaxing way to travel, with restrooms and a cafe/bar on board.

The London Eye. We did not ride this.

From the boat: St. Paul’s Cathedral…our AirBnB was about 1000′ east of here.
The narrator was telling us “quick, take those photos, double decker buses are crossing”.
The Cutty Sark, which has been preserved as a static display to visit. You can see people in the middle of the center mast, not sure if they’re employees or visitors, but they were climbing up and rappelling down. We arrived in Greenwich somewhat late in the day to do any of the paid admission or museum activities.
