27 July 22: For dinner Wednesday night, Dave<\/a> got us reservations at a Bavarian restaurant on the Marienplatz — Gasthaus zur Schranne<\/a> — where we enjoyed good food and good beer. Dave had the chance to talk in German to the young family next to us and they had a great time!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The boys discovered “Dunkel Wei\u00dfbier<\/a>” and learned what a real beer can taste like.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Garmisch truly looks like a fairy tale town with the gorgeous chalets with their flower boxes in full bloom this time of year.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

On Thursday we plan to take it easy with a local hike in the afternoon if the weather cooperates.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
