21 July 22: Today was a “Foodie Walking Tour of Paris<\/a>“. Leo (short for Eleanor) took us through the Les Halles and Montorgueil sections of Paris, including the patisserie that invented the Baba ah Rhum<\/a> and showing us one of the original restaurants that specialized in escargot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

We tasted meats, cheeses, chocolates, and bread…our tour guide picked up more of those goodies that we liked the most and delivered us to a wine bar<\/a> where our group got a private wine class…we enjoyed three kinds of wine while eating the foods our tour guide picked up. It was a delightful mid-day tour, and we met a sweet family from Chicago who was wrapping up 3 weeks in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were stuffed…and pretty buzzed…by the end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
