In this case, you want to start with RAW eggs, they will boil with the silk for 20 minutes and will cook then.<\/p>\n<p>Since I didn&#8217;t know about the need for RAW eggs, I only had 6 raw eggs left in the house by the time I thought to do this. And one of the eggs had too many cracks so I didn&#8217;t use it.<\/p>\n<p>I did this project immediately after our <a href=\"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/2012\/04\/dyeing-easter-eggs-two-ways-part-1-kool-aid-eggs.html\">Kool Aid eggs<\/a>\u00a0on the Saturday afternoon before Easter, so the kids were done dealing with eggs and I was left to try this out on my own. \u00a0This is a more labor intensive project, <a href=\"http:\/\/bismarcktribune.com\/news\/local\/bismarck\/exquisite-easter-eggs-are-a-ukrainian-tradition\/article_2511308e-7f3a-11e1-8561-0019bb2963f4.html\">although I could think of much much fancier Easter egg art that would take even more work<\/a>!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_844\" style=\"width: 388px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_2901.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-844\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-844 \" title=\"IMG_2901\" src=\"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_2901-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"378\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_2901-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_2901-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 378px) 100vw, 378px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-844\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">These are the three ties Dave said I could sacrifice for this project. Recommend you raid the neckties at your local thrift shop for the best choices and cheapest options.
