{"id":820,"date":"2012-04-08T14:12:07","date_gmt":"2012-04-08T19:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/?p=820"},"modified":"2012-04-09T18:21:09","modified_gmt":"2012-04-09T23:21:09","slug":"happy-easter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/2012\/04\/happy-easter.html","title":{"rendered":"Happy Easter!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good morning friends and Happy Easter!<\/p>\n<p>(I started this post this morning, but I&#8217;ve been fighting with my photo software all morning, then went to church. \u00a0I&#8217;m now about to head out to visit friends for the afternoon so I will just publish what I have here and go into more detail later).<\/p>\n<p>It goes without saying that as the kids get older, the whole Easter egg hunt experiences becomes quicker and quicker. \u00a0The boys did their entire hunt while I was brushing my teeth, so I don&#8217;t have many pictures at all. \u00a0But here are some pictures of our weekend so far.<\/p>\n<p>We colored eggs with both <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geekmom.com\/2012\/04\/mmmm-fruity-dying-eggs-with-kool-aid-drink-mix\/\">Kool Aid<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/happeningsoftheharperhousehold.net\/2012\/03\/how-to-make-silk-tie-dye-easter-eggs\/\">Dave&#8217;s old silk ties<\/a>. They have some unusual attributes that one has to get used to...if you touch the eggs too much before they&#39;re dry, the film of color wipes away, such as that pink one at the bottom.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_823\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_2920.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-823\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-823\" title=\"IMG_2920\" src=\"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_2920-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"472\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_2920-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_2920-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-823\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The silk-tie eggs.  This is a trickier task. Jacob and Timmy weren&#39;t at all interested in this...it was a lot of work. I only had 5 eggs left. Tips if you want to do this -- the darker the tie, the better. Yes, those are zombie bunnies.
