Greetings from the Augustiner-Keller Biergarten!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Munich Day 1: We had an early start out of Amsterdam. For some unknown reason, our train got to D\u00fcsseldorf 2 minutes after our connection left so we put ourselves on the next ICE train to Munich, which was packed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We had to wander a little to find unreserved seats (we had reserved seats on the original train). We lucked out and found a couple free seats in a “quiet” compartment for most of the journey.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We got to Munich in time to meet up with our tour group for a welcome dinner in the absolutely massive Augustiner-Keller Biergarten just north of the train station.<\/p>\r\n

For the 2nd leg of our trip, we ended up not having our reserved seats available, so we wandered until we could find a spot. We ended up in a closed compartment, which was quite nice.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n

This was a huge sign hanging in the train station.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n

We walked over to the Oktoberfest entrance, but no one was allowed in before noon the following day…unless you worked there.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
