{"id":3753,"date":"2015-05-11T11:13:10","date_gmt":"2015-05-11T16:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/?p=3753"},"modified":"2015-05-17T18:17:09","modified_gmt":"2015-05-17T23:17:09","slug":"diy-kitchen-transformation-moulding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/2015\/05\/diy-kitchen-transformation-moulding.html","title":{"rendered":"DIY Kitchen Transformation: Crown Moulding Installation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This past weekend Dave installed the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.homedepot.com\/p\/Royal-Mouldings-9-16-in-x-1-5-8-in-x-8-ft-PVC-Composite-White-Crown-Moulding-0675508021\/100046412?N=5yc1vZara1Z12kxZ1z0uk32\">crown moulding<\/a> around the tops of our cabinets. This isn&#8217;t a super-tall design, we wanted something subtle, yet elegant.<\/p>\n<p>Later this week and this weekend we will start the priming and painting of the rest of the cabinets. We have a paint sprayer to use for the doors, but will hand-paint the cabinet bases.<\/p>\n<p>We also picked up our hardware for the cabinet <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/catalog\/products\/20256735\/\">doors<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/catalog\/products\/96670683\/\">drawers<\/a>.
