Then we took a sander to it. These are the drawer fronts that are on the back side of the island (the opposite side from the photos of the island I keep showing).<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_3699\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_1268.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3699\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-3699 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_1268-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1268\" width=\"630\" height=\"473\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_1268-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/thevollmerfamily.com\/MajorMom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_1268-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3699\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The primer on this surface was on pretty well, but there were some spots that needed to be sanded down.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Today we&#8217;re only putting on one coat of the dark brown on the island, and will finish this up tomorrow.
