I love it. I think stainless steel is sexy.<\/p>\n<p>But&#8230;over the past 3 years, my boys have had a field day playing with their letter magnets, their Thomas and Friends magnets and their keeping-up-with-their-chores magnets.<\/p>\n<p>So the front is now pretty beat up.<\/p>\n<p>Again, in anticipation of the house going on the market next week, I&#8217;ve been cleaning up the clutter, which includes removing all the magnets and pictures. So I&#8217;m left with all these scratches on the front of the fridge in plain view:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/picasaweb.google.com\/vollmerdp\/20080422PantryPride\/photo#5192476740085528354\"><img src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/vollmerdp\/SA9iFY1GtyI\/AAAAAAAAONw\/AK4SOg3Fr7o\/s400\/IMG_0607%5B1%5D.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The area in question is closest to the door handle. The other light further to the right spot is a reflection.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve use these products to try to clean up those scratches, to no avail:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/picasaweb.google.com\/vollmerdp\/20080422PantryPride\/photo#5192476654186182402\"><img src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/vollmerdp\/SA9iAY1GtwI\/AAAAAAAAON4\/-NfnuN_uB50\/s400\/IMG_0614%5B1%5D.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yes, you even see a Scotch Brite pad and a 380-grit sanding block!  Those were BAD.<\/p>\n<p>The stainless steel cleaners do just that, clean. <\/p>\n<p>The Scratch-Out in the yellow bottle is actually for automotive uses, it didn&#8217;t seem to make a difference on our big scratches.  Maybe I&#8217;m not using it right?<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;winner&#8221; in this batch, unfortunately, is the WD-40, which merely cleans up the scratches enough that they aren&#8217;t so glaring. If you scrutinize the surface, all the scratches are still there.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a personal favorite for keeping your stainless steel scratch-free, do tell!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s my fridge.
